Shae Solar....a state of the art, modern solar install company with a different perspective on renewable energy maximizing value and minimizing costs.

Shae Solar is a 2023 modern solar company that leverages the absolute latest technology to provide customers with the best equipment, bar none. To save customers money and increase the amount of solar production is where we excel.  Shae Solar is a niche solar installer. We focus on installs that are either on metal roofs or ground mount installs.   We don't offer leases (leases are crazy) and who hasn't had roof issues with panels installed on their asphalt shingle roof?

We are seeing two main issues with solar:

1) Solar company comes along and does an install and it is bad.  Not up to code, the inverter is undersized, wiring not to NEC code, inverters mounted directly to the wall (fire hazard) without concrete board between the inverter and the wall, and many other issues. Literally 40% of our time is going behind other installs and fixing the bad jobs.   And this is right here in Wise/Parker/Tarrant/Johnson counties.

2) The price for solar is stupid high.   If your being quoted more than $45,000 for solar, please call us.  Let me review the quote. Even if you use a different company, let us arm you with information that can save you literally tens of thousands of dollars.   Our average first visit time with a customer is 2.5 hours explaining everything.   Not selling anything. But walking a customer thru what all this is and then explaining why we dont do asphaslt shingle installs, or why we use brackets vs rails, or wht we won't do an install without a fused disconnect or double throw transfer switch and why we deliver a set of engineered plans for every install.    Less than 5% of solar installs are wired with a fused disconnect.   Less than 2% have a double throw transfer switch.    99% of all inverters are mounted directly to the wall withouth a concrete board backing.    This is not national averages.  This is what our company sees.

Conect your local power company and ask to speak to the person that handles solar.   Ask that person what they know about the company.   Shae Solar is well knowm with Wise Electric. We also are known with Tri County and United Coop.   So far, each Electric company has been very impressed as we do things like the above that they never see done.   Your spending a lot of money, spend a little time to ensure you get a good company and not overpay.

We use brackets

We dont't need no stinkin rails.   We use S-5 steel brackets for installs vs. rails for mounting panels to roofs.  Why not? Its cheaper and will save hundreds of lbs. of weight. Load rating is also higher than rails. Did we we mention its cheaper?

We use Sol-Ark Inverters

The best inverters out there. And they are located in Plano, TX.

This is the latest technology when it comes to inverters. No transformers, all in one inverters means less moving parts, less costs, less overhead to keep the equipment running.

LifePO4 Batteries

We use only SOK Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. These batteries store more power at about 40% of the cost of the large companies and they can deliver significantly more amps out as well.

Texas Licensed & Insured

We only use Texas Master Licensed electricians.  As part of that, we maintain current insurance.

Look at your electric bill.   Find the area that shows usage. This is the kw/h used per month.   Divide that by 30.5 (days in a month).  Thats yoru daily usage.  If your around 90kw/h a day, your looking at a cost around 34k without batteries or around 39k with batteries.   If your around 163kw/h, then your looking at about 57k without batteries or 62k with batteries.   The difference, more panels and the infrastructure to handle more panels.   Give us a call after you talk with other installers and you will see why weare so successful.

When you talk with other installers, ask them:

1) Do you use a fused disconnect? They should as this will protect your inverters from grid damage.

2) Do you use a double throw transfer switch? They should as if/when your inverter(s) has an issue, your can have power as it will allow you to bypass the solar side and use grid electricity.

3) Is everyone on the job a Texas licensed and insured electrician of some level and the work is oveseen by a Texas licensed and insured master electrician, and their licenses are verifiable?  They should as this is what the State of Texas requires.

Why bi-facial panels? First, they generate electricity not only from the front, but from the back side. But to us, a bi-facial panel is superior over a regular panel as in TX, NM, and AZ, as the intense heat we get will cause the back of the panel to get very hot. Which results in the plastic backing to shrink over time and let water be introduced to the panel. Eventually this will cause issues.  Of course, you have a warranty, but it will cost you how much to swap the panel out in labor, shipping and lost solar generation?
